Strips I Read:
December 11, 2009: I'm really sorry about (A) the lateness of today's strip and (B) the awful quality of the artwork. I was sick in bed most of Wednesday, so I only got around to doing the strip yesterday... As for the artwork, I don't know what the heck is up. Just one of those days I guess. Plus my pens hate me. Once upon a time I actually used to get two whole strips out of one before it started %$@#ing running out of ink! Anyway, I will redraw the whole thing from scratch and re-upload it.
November 11, 2009: Hi guys. Sorry about the wait. I was just feeling really uninspired so I decided to pull a color strip from my backlog. Also there's a new icon in the Extras page because it seemed like it would make a good icon.
October 29, 2009: You might be wondering why, in the world of this comic strip, skimpy French maid costumes even exist in Mandy's size. Well, steel yourselves, for it turns out (and I discovered this after I wrote this week's strips) "sexy" costumes for dogs exist in our own world. Be afraid.
In another neat coincidence, Tuesday's installment of Wondermark also involved someone who's obsessed with photographing their dog. Ann's ambitions aren't quite as lofty as the unseen protagonist in that strip, but you never know.
October 8, 2009: So I just now noticed that Tuesday's strip never actually got posted, somehow. I mean, it was uploaded, but it didn't get on the home page. It's up now... I may be running some maintenance later today. Keep in mind, the system is still basically in alpha.
October 6, 2009: Today's strip will be a bit delayed; it's written but it's way too late to draw it. Meanwhile, though, those backdated strips are up now, starting here. Also I added mouseover text to some strips, just because.
September 24, 2009: The "back issues" are still coming. In the meantime, here's the obligatory edit of last Tuesday's strip.
September 17, 2009: So here's the sordid story, as promised. Sometime early on in the year, I was starting to feel uninspired and burned out on ideas, and completely clueless as to how I was supposed to finish the two storylines I've got going on (the movie and Mandy's job), which have been locking the strip into continuity mode full-time when it was never meant to be. I was seriously considering just quitting or at the very least rebooting the strip. It was just about then that my Web host conveniently dropped all the "free hosting" customers without warning.
I also had a half-finished redesign of the site that I was working on, and figured I ought to finish that before I try going back online. But there was still the question of where I was planning to go with all this, and I wanted to have an answer before I jumped right back into a regular schedule.
Well, after over five months, I don't feel like I have it together any more than I did, but I do know that forcing myself to keep to a schedule has always worked in the past, so I'll just keep slogging along and hopefully good ideas will continue to come.
September 15, 2009: Well, would you look at that... I have a website again! I'll post more details as to what's been keeping me so long in the days ahead, as well as some of the strips I drew and wanted to post in the intervening time; for now, enjoy the brand-spanking-new site. Please note that Internet Explorer 7 and below will not display things properly. You should have upgraded by now anyway.
